The Indian Premier League 2020 is finally taking place. The venue was decided as UAE.
All players had to undergo strict wellness in order to be play-ready.
Each team had set up their own ‘bio-bubble’ and all the members have to adhere to it.
A simple violation would result in a heavy fine or suspension during the course of the tournament.
After the teams reached their respective venues, they started following their protocols.
As we all know, in such tough times adaptability is the key.
Within the past few days, news started coming in about players missing out the tournament either due to injury or due to ‘personal reasons’.
We thought of making a brief list of players who could replace the ones who were flying back home in the Indian Premier League 2020.
1. Evin Lewis – West Indies – Base Price 1Cr.
The left handed hard hitter debuted in the 2018 season of IPL.
He represented Mumbai Indians. He has since then played 16 matches scoring 430 runs with a strike rate of 131.09.

His T20i strike rate is 155.40. He generally opens the batting.
He can be a good opener for teams that require an opener who can get them to a great start.
2. Colin Munro – New Zealand- Base Price 1Cr.
Munro is yet another quickfire batsman. He has played across several T20 leagues.
He is in fact, the first player to score 3 T20i centuries.
Munro debuted in the 2016 season of the IPL and played for KKR (Kolkata Knight Riders).

He played for DC (Delhi Capitals) in the 2018 season as well.
Munro has a strike rate of 125.33 in the IPL and 156.44 in T20 internationals.
3. Ben Cutting – Australia – Base Price 75L
He is one of the most valuable bowling all-rounders in T20 cricket.
A decent bowler and a quick run-scorer with the bat, he bats lower down the order.

Cutting can be used as a vital all-rounder for teams who are in search of one. He made his debut way back in the 2014 season of the IPL.
He has represented 3 franchises, namely Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Mumbai Indians.
4. Alzarri Joseph – West Indies – Base Price 50L
He was the replacement for Adam Milne in the 2019 season. He represented Mumbai Indians.

In his debut game, he took a record-breaking 6/12 against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
These figures stand as the best spell in the history of IPL. It was very surprising to see that he went unsold.
5. Carlos Brathwaite – West Indies – Base Price 50L
Yet another West Indian player who is known for his all-rounder abilities on the field.
He debuted in the 2016 season playing for DC (Delhi Capitals).

He is best known for his 2016 T20WC final heroics where he smashed Stokes for 4 consecutive sixes to win the title.
His pinch-hitting with frontline bowling can be resourceful.
